What is HTML?

HTML stands for hypertext markup language used for creating web pages and web applications. It is the foundation of the world wide web and is used to describe the structure of the content in documents such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links and other items. It's not a programming language, it means HTML has no decision-making capability only it helps to make a structure or markup. That's why we use HTML to make the structure/skeleton of a webpage. which element I want on our web page, where I want it, what will be ordered, and how's an arrangement, all these things can be set in our webpage by using HTML. For a better understanding, I want to take an example of the human body. In the human body, the skeleton provides the shape or structure of the body likewise HTML provides the shape or structure of the webpage. That's why an understanding of HTML is very important to making a webpage/website.
